TAIWANFest Vancouver
TAIWANFest Vancouver, a multicultural event that has been celebrated since 1990, takes place from August 31 to September 2. The festival features performances, films, talks, and exhibits. Bard on the Beach
Bard on the Beach, one of Vancouver’s premier theatre festivals, continues to stage Shakespearean plays in Vanier Park. On Labour Day weekend, you can enjoy matinee and evening performances of A Comedy of Errors and Twelfth Night on Saturday, and matinees of Twelfth Night and Measure for Measure on Sunday. Tickets are available for purchase in advance.
Bands on the Beach in Harrison Hot Springs
The 15th annual Bands on the Beach event takes place in Harrison Hot Springs, featuring live music each afternoon on Saturday and Sunday with a stunning mountain backdrop. On Saturday night, Totally Toby, a Toby Keith tribute band, will also perform.
Burnaby Village Museum
The Burnaby Village Museum, a 10-acre historical site, will feature special activities and exhibits on Labour Day (September 2) highlighting the history of the labor movement. While admission is free, a small fee applies for rides on the antique carousel.
